tange-gerard solliage

Solliage is a 100% Chardonnay champagne with grapes from the three different lieu-dits of Tange-Gerard in a limited number of bottles. It has a wonderful freshness and minerality that makes it an excellent companion with food.

This blanc de blancs champagne expresses our terroir in the villages of Soulieres and Loisy-en-Brie with a climate that is slightly more continental than the lower part of the Cote des Blancs.

The year of 2013 is interesting as it stayed cold until July and eventually finished off with grape harvest as late as October, something that has become increasingly rare in Champagne. After the pressing, the must is fermented in a small steel tank with no alterations of the acidity other than the slow diminution in the caves, as time goes by.

Solliage will be disgorged and dosed in several lots as we want the dosage to fit the current development of the bottle perfectly. The date of disgorgement and the dosage are written on the back label and in the fact sheet.

The only thing left is to enjoy.

solliage dosage etc.

We have made 3.000 bottles of Solliage. They have not all had excactly the same development.

The higher the unique number of the bottle, the longer the champagne has spent on the lees in the cave. The lees is what is left of the dead yeast from the second alcoholic fermentation. This particular partnership allows further complexity to develop in the wine. The champagne will be dosed accordingly.

Below, you will find information about the disgorgement and the dosage of your bottle.
