tange-gerard sollissandre blancs

An abundance of small, fine bubbles announce cooked fruits cooked fruits and silky tannins. A classic example of an equation where one plus one makes is different than two. This is everything but classic Chardonnay: two wines from the same plot in the same, warm year in Soulières in collaboration to create something new. Please welcome Sollissandre Blancs: classic Tange-Gérard single champagne gone oak.

These two wines set off together as the grape must fermentated in a small steel tank. Then a part of this wine was transferred to small oak casks while the rest was kept stable in steel. Some six months later the two wines were tasted, and eventually mixed in the proportions we liked the best and bottled. Finally, the bottles were transferred to the caves to mature further.

Now time’s up for the first lot of Sollissandre Blancs after five dark years at a constant temperature. The result is a champagne that craves sauces made with butter and cream. If you are in a hurry, some black olives from Nyons will make a wonderful match.

Please note that we disgorge and dose Sollissandre Blancs in small lots. Like this the dosage will fit the current development of the bottle perfectly. The date of disgorgement and the dosage are written on the back label and in the fact sheet.

Sollissandre Blancs awaits your glass.
