the Singles oak line
The Singles oak champagnes of Tange-Gerard are made with grapes from our micro region. Their taste explores their unique year of origin combined with aging in oak casks.
On top of the aromas and tastes provided by our low yield grapes, the oak casks add a further dimension to the wine. We pick the grapes when they have obtained the best possible maturation for champagne.
Only the finer first press must - the cuvée - is fermentated to wine in a small steel tank. Some of the wine stays here, and the rest is transferred to small oak casks for approximately half a year.
The following spring we combine these two wines: we taste different combinations and choose what we like the best. The blended wine is bottled (tirage), it will be moved to the caves and spend at least three years to age and develop further taste.
We disgorge the Singles oak champagnes in small lots and dose them pleasantly according to their current development.
Simply put, a Singles oak champagne adds one more way to mark your get-to-gethers in a wonderfully tasty way.
